Maurice Hill Transport Limited

We have been using the Dennison sliding bogie tipper trailers on a contract moving aggregate from our Rail Terminal in Burton on Trent to a local landfill managed by Aggregate Industries. The train brings up construction waste from building projects in London up to the Rail Terminal.
We chose the Dennison sliding bogie tipper as Aggregate Industries stipulates that the sliding bogie is the only articulated trailer they would allow to tip on their Bardon site due to its outstanding stability when tipping. We have also found that with the trailers ability to shorten down by a meter, it allows us to get on to sites that we would not get on with a standard tipping trailer.
We are very conscious of our environmental responsibilities, which is another reason we decided on the Dennison rather than an 8×4 rigid tipper, it allowed us to reduce our movements by 25%, reducing fuel costs and driving hours.
We have just purchased 2 new Dennison sliding bogie tippers from Crick trailer sales and have found Scott (based down in Rugby) to be very helpful and knowledgeable, and always available on the other end of a phone to answer any of our questions. The process of purchasing from Crick, we found very straight forward and effortless. We are looking forward to the release of the new Hydraulic drive axle version so we can move away from the 6×4 tractor units and make the operation even more efficient with greater payloads.
